OVC - Refresh - Draft 1
We wanted to move away from the heavy, traditional (stodgy?) burgundy and yellow colors currently up at oxfordvalleychapel.org and go with something that had a bit more life. The blue and the brown are much more fresh, and you'll notice that the new design is a *LOT* less cluttered than the old site. I've used plenty of whitespace to help people figure out what's most important on the site.

I changed the font of the logo to sans serif (hoping it would freshen it up more) but I'm not sure it works. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I agree, this is much better. And I do like the sans serif better and that you lined up the swoosh on the left side with the text.
Great job!

very nice work. everything is clean simple less traditional looking and a little more inviting.

My only comments are the ornate pattern in the footer... doesnt fit...
and the welcome to oxford text treatment... I think it could benefit from bumping up a couple point sizes? or different treatment no?

nice work... i like better looking christian web sites :) much better (the previous one looks like a template)

Thanks for the feedback, especially on the logo.

The ornate pattern may be out of place. If you look carefully, a similar pattern actually appears in the top right (just barely in the blue) of the site. I was just trying to tie the two together. Should I remove it from the header as well?

And the comment on the welcome text... that's great, I think I'll bump it up a few points. I wanted to bold it, but for some reason, the version of Geneva that I have only has standard weight, no bold.

Nice work..

I'd skip the ornate pattern, I think its just extra and you don't need it to love the design. It works on its own quite well.

This might be a little nitpicky but you might want to consider getting rid of the exclamation point after Welcome to Oxford Valley Chapel. It seems a litttle confusing as it looks like another L.

This is really good - everything seems to be crafted for a visitor which is excellent, imo. I agree with all that's been said. This looks very clean, and kinda reminds me of Ikea (heh, that's probably not a bad thing).

great job!
