I love the approach, but gotta say that the flame and the Buffy-the-Vampire-Slayer/Angel font just screams "we roast Christians right" — especially the devil's chin "v".

* shudders *

The difficulty, of course, is trying to brand "calvary" with anything but three crosses or (worse) a skull — there's immediately a disconnect between the name and the imagery.

very cool. I like the background texture and the green gradients over the type. I agree with the "devil's chin v". I think the logo would work well with the V at it's normal x-height.
