Logo, Flint Hill Baptist Church

Flint Hill was looking for something fresh and modern that conveyed movement.

Tim Challies took my original logo and turned it into a stunning web site over at www.flinthill.net/

Other treatments here: plasticmind.com/clients/flinthill/logo/draft-01.html

26 Sep 2007 » 4. :

Yes, a real good one.

26 Sep 2007 » 5. paulie "baby face" carlson {Special Relations}:

mmm... tasty.

26 Sep 2007 » 6. patrickian:

one of the best logos i've seen on CMS

26 Sep 2007 » 7. patrickian:

by the way -- on behalf of marketing gurus everywhere, thank you for not using a cross in your logo.

26 Sep 2007 » 8. Jesse Gardner:

@patrickkian: Heh, and they specifically asked for it, too. Thanks for the kind words.

26 Sep 2007 » 9. SeanPdesign - Drag {The Hitman}:

I'm a marketing guru and I love the cross. Maybe Christians should stop being idiots and then the cross won't have a negadive association. Last time I checked, my sins were nailed to that cross... I shall not be ashamed.

BTW, great logo.

26 Sep 2007 » 10. bjl050402:

Of all the color options, I like this one the least. Why do you think they chose this particular color? (The website is very niiiice.)

I think there's a cross in there... why else is the "f" extra tall? ;)

26 Sep 2007 » 11. Jesse Gardner:

@Sean: No offense meant to the cross at all. It is a terrible, wonderful symbol. But much like the term Christian, it's been used in many, many contexts and doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. In a perfect world, words and symbols would never lose their power; but when people misuse, overuse or abuse them, it's inevitable.

26 Sep 2007 » 12. Jesse Gardner:

And yes, I did make a conscious decision to put the cross in the f.

26 Sep 2007 » 13. bjl050402:

Yessssssssss!

26 Sep 2007 » 14. kramseytx:

lovely logo!

27 Sep 2007 » 15. Senator Cameron M. Smith:

I'd like to see the transition from the F to the I be a little cleaner, you can see the top right corner of the "I" and IMO that makes it feel unfinished or sloppy. BUT... that's the only thing I could find that I didn't like, the rest of it is great - good job!

27 Sep 2007 » 16. ChrisMoncusPhoto.com:

That typeface is the hotness. Good choice.

27 Sep 2007 » 17. Jesse Gardner:

@Cameron: Wow, I had never seen that until today. Now, I'll never be able to enjoy this logo again. =)

17 Oct 2007 » 18. basicSUBLIME:
